I am currently using this product as one of my main care products for my 14 freshwater aquariums. I'm currently using it for the first time to run a new tank distress cycle. I had to build a new aquarium for some of the guppies brought to Thailand. I'm on my third day and haven't had any ammonia or nitrate spikes and my nitrite is constant. I do small water changes every day until I know the tank is stable and add a small amount of Fritzzyme in proportion to the water change. This is after the starting dose. So far, Fritzzyme does exactly what it advertises. As long as the stress on livestock is minimal, I think cycling becomes safer. I'm not a chemist but I have 14 aquariums. My experience tells me this product works. Not only in new tanks, but also in old tanks.
