Universal frame. Customizable. Holds anything from a single sheet of paper to a standard sized magazine. However, I'm deducting a star from the rating because the demo paper was stuck to the clear plastic and the tape left marks that were difficult to peel off. Some may argue that the plastic is used on the back and whatever you frame will cover up the stain. But I will say that I don't want my work to come into contact with the adhesive from the tape. Also, I love the UV protection that plastic offers and I've used it on the front and glass on the back. As for the build, another reviewer wrote that the spacer is between the glass and the plastic, and by setting the frame up this way you can get the frame to hold a thicker magazine than if you put your magazine in between would lay. Plastic and glass and a spacer behind everything and it's true. You may need a piece of cardboard (acid free or whatever you choose to use) if you need extra thickness behind your magazine to help it hold together properly. I love that the frame comes with mounting hardware and pre-drilled holes for both portrait and landscape viewing. Very nice frame, I've already bought another one.
