Handy but not "essential "
Cooking Utensils I have a weakness for impulse buying, so I couldn't resist when I saw this yolk separator. It does the job well (I had a yolk when I took it out), but if you don't have enough space to store your kitchen appliances, it probably isn't necessary. In fact, I've had times where I completely forgot I had that tool and just parted it the old fashioned way - and I didn't have an extra tool to wash afterwards. It's a fun little tool, though. So if you manage to separate LOTS of eggs, it can make the job more interesting!
