Does the job but you pay for it.

I used this to install a new Kenwood DVA7706S radio in my 16 year old Ford Fusion. At the time I was doing this project, this was the only dash kit anyone had in stock for my car. Pros: - Does the job. This kit is basically complete. It has all the basic wiring to connect a new radio to the factory wiring harness. Once you've soldered all of the radio wires, the actual installation of the radio should be fairly easy. The technical support is based in the USA and is very helpful and thorough. Touchscreen HVAC controls give the vehicle a more modern look. Cons: - Expensive. There are far fewer other options. - Directions are not entirely clear. The worst part was the steering wheel control wiring section. It took some time. It was connected with many cables. Squeezing all the wires into my dash behind the radio for a clean look wasn't an easy task, and I had a fairly small head unit. A deeper head unit with a CD player can be a problem for everything. - Does not support using the car's factory microphone. I had to use the microphone that came with the radio. Using the factory install would be a bit cleaner. - The vehicle's factory USB ports are not used. Recommendations: - Read the instructions and read them again. and update the system to the latest version. I had to purchase a SiriusXM radio antenna adapter and a USB/AUX port to enable these features on my new radio.
