Review on Makita AF353 Gauge 1 3 Nailer by Curtis Donjuan

I swear by Makita. All my Makita tools. This gun is garbage. It worked great for a week, after that it didn't shoot nails longer than 1/2 inch. I've continued to use it as a dedicated 1/2" nail gun because I often install 1/4" moldings. Today I decided to take it apart and see why it doesn't shoot longer nails. Turns out there was dirt on the piston that was preventing it from fully retracting. I cleaned it very well and got back to work. 20) Nails 1-3/16" into the crown molding after it's secured and the piston has collapsed completely. I suspect the dirt held it together, I ordered a new piston from a spare. Let's see if that changes .I've had the gun for less than two months.
