I am a professional cabinet maker and use my nail guns every day. I bought this gun to replace a Senco 23 gauge nail gun. The Makita is a great gun. Punches nails very well and pushes without binding. Power is great with no recoil, even when driving 1 3/8" nails through 1" hard maple. The only criticism of the guns is the bolt on the nail, the magazine is made of plastic and broke after two months of use. This is a great gun for those who want a quality nail gun at an affordable price.
I swear by Makita. All my Makita tools. This gun is garbage. It worked great for a week, after that it didn't shoot nails longer than 1/2 inch. I've continued to use it as a dedicated 1/2" nail gun because I often install 1/4" moldings. Today I decided to take it apart and see why it doesn't shoot longer nails.
