I thought this would be a good run for my chicks but one of them is still small enough at 3 weeks to escape through the squares and then disappear of course very confused about this why her buddies don't go with her. I put the screen on top so the other wouldn't fly out. I'm not sure which animal it would be best for. If they're small enough not to dig or push them out, then they can be small enough to just walk through the squares. There is nothing to anchor it to the ground. Update: After trying to use it for weeks, I found it pretty much useless. Plugs are very thin. They're annoyingly fidgety when plugging in, and when you try to grab the playpen to move it everything falls apart.
