UPDATE TO 5*. I originally would have given this a 5* review, had it not stopped working suddenly, out of the blue about 2 weeks ago. I have only been using the product since the first of March so in less than 4 months, a very expensive trash can now does not work properly. I have no idea why but suddenly now when I wave my hand in front of the sensor, it makes a clicking sound and doesn’t open - either by itself or with me manually pushing the open button. And no, it’s not the batteries - I already replaced them to see if that was the problem. I love the fact it has the pet restricted lid. But sometimes it’s a little too sensitive when I’m standing in front of it and it will try to pop back open as I’m trying to wait for it to automatically close. But I thought it was very sturdy, and my little fur baby could not open it (unless I forgot to close the latch) and that was my main concern! If the manufacturer can give me an idea what’s wrong with it and help to fix it, I would definitely consider recommending it to others to buy.Update: I received a message a message from the seller who offered to replace the lid. They sent it out very quickly and I’ve been very happy ever since! I certainly would buy from someone who fixes their product.
