Garmin Power Isolator

The Power Isolator is designed to transmit NMEA 2000 data but blocks 12V power supply between connections/systems. It can be used as a T-connection or built-in. (See images copied from Google). This is used when you want to isolate two separate backbones or separate the 12v power supply to the device from the feeders or backfeeders. For my given use I had to cut the 12v power supply between the standard NMEA 2000 network (T-connection with 12v power) for the Garmin MFD 7610 and 7607, Garmin VHF and Fusion Stereo and also the Yamaha Command Link Lowrance NMEA 2000 isolate connection to hub Yamaha. When initially setting up the Yamaha Lowrance cable (hub Yamaha Command Link to NMEA 2000 connections) it was determined that a 12v NMEA power supply would provide 12v to the Yamaha Command Link sensors and fuel pump when the key was in the off position was. Part I. Lowrance cable 000-0120-37 is used to transmit digital engine data to the Garmin 7610 and 7607 displays. It states that you can cut the red Lowrance cable (white square connector) to the Yamaha hub cable, However, if you understand the above, you know you don't want to experiment with the electronics listed if the under $20 piece is the answer.
