Works great, perfect for the PS4 console and it was easy to install the PS4 software. Those of you who are having trouble getting it to work on the PS4 should follow the instructions on Sony's website closely. Here's what I did: 1. Use a USB flash drive that is at least 4GB. Check its properties to make sure it is formatted in FAT32. Create a folder named "PS4" in all caps and without quotes. Inside this folder, create another folder called "UPDATE" with all caps and no quotes. Access the Internet from the Playstation on an Internet-connected computer. com/en-us/support/system-updates/ps4/ and go to the very bottom of the page where it says "Perform a clean installation of the system software" and click on the black "Download Now" button. The file size must be over 800 MB. If it's smaller, you're downloading the wrong update. Again, make sure you use the link at the bottom of the page. When you have the file you need, save it on your USB stick in the UPDATE folder you created in the PS4 folder and name the update file ""PS4UPDATE.PUP" in capital letters and without quotes .. 2.Connect the USB flash drive to PS4 and go to (Settings) > [Application Saved Data Management] > [Saved Data on USB Storage] and save any backup files you want to save or save them all to the cloud if you have a Playstation+.3. Once this is saved, turn off your PS4 and unplug all cables.4. Remove the PS4 left side panel over the disc drive by gently pressing and sliding to the left. Comes off relatively easily. Then, using a small Phillips screwdriver, remove the screw on the front left with the Playstation symbols on it. Slide the hard drive out, and then remove the two screws on each side of the hard drive carrier. There will be four in total. Do not remove the small rubber rings that hold the screws. Slide the hard drive out and insert the new hard drive firmly but gently.5. Replace all screws and then slide the hard drive into the console.6. Replace the PS4.7 cover. Plug everything back in, then plug in your USB stick. You also need to connect the controller via USB.8. Press and hold the power button for about 7 seconds. until you hear a second beep, then release. This will boot your PS4 into Safe Mode. Select [Initialize PS4 (Reinstall System Software)]. It will take a few minutes to install the entire PS4. After that you can make all the settings as shown on the screen. Once done, reinstall your games using game discs or re-download your games, if you purchased a digital copy from the PS Store. After reinstalling the games, you can go back to (Settings) > [App save data management] > [Saved data to USB] and save the data back to PS4, which will restore all your game settings, profiles, saved games, etc will.
