If you don't have gorilla strength you will need this tool to complete KMC chains; X10SL Gold. The Park Tool MLP-1 Master Link opens/closes the missing KMC link on DA/Ultegra and KMC chains [open only] but does not close the ML on KMC. The reason for this is that KMC chains have a tighter tolerance than Shimano, so the Park Tool will not fit between the links when the ML is closed.
