When I got my first VR setup, I noticed a few things. my leg hurts My back hurts. And I couldn't tell where I was. So I got that. I worried if it would help, if it was a trick, and if it was so high I might trip over it. I've had him for several months now. It was the right purchase. It's tough and unaffected after many, many hours of pounding and footsteps. It works great in socks or barefoot. It's thick enough to support and relieve my feet as I'm used to standing there for long periods of time, but I've never tripped over it. It also doesn't slide on carpet (if I want to move it I have to lift it up a bit). I can always tell where I am. My feet read it like Braille! I can tell if I'm stepping too far off center, I can tell which direction I'm facing just by twitching my foot. Oh, and VR gamers coming from seated games? Here's a bonus tip. It didn't help the back pain I got from standing, and it won't help you either. That back pain is not your back. Those are your thighs. Years of sitting pull them up, and standing pulls them up against your back. Learn to stretch your hip flexors!
