The 16:10 monitor is an endangered species and the few on the market suck because the 2560 x 1600 resolution is stretched across a 30-inch screen. Less = Better DPI However, mid-2022 is a game-changer with a new 16-inch screen. There's also a 13.3-inch cousin if you want something more tablet-like. Personally, I received the Newsoul version instead of the uPerfect version. Both companies sold the same monitor, but the hardware was slightly different. Pros 1) Newsoul used a full size HDMI 2.0 connector (uPerfect used mini HDMI) 2) 188 dpi = good screen 3) comes with 75 x 75 Vesa mounting holes 4) super light (less than 2 pounds) Cons 1) speakers suck because the sound only comes from one side 2) the displayport is missing 3) it says it's a 10-bit color screen but my PC's GPU tells me it's 8-bit. I suspect the monitor uses FRC, but I'm not sure how to test this feature. 4) does not come with VESA screws. They say they use M4 x 4mm screws but they don't have them so I contacted Newsoul about this and they said to use 6mm screws. 5) The lightweight screen makes it impossible to use with gas spring monitor arms. that's good and i have two for a dual monitor setup (still working on that) and i plan on getting a third for a laptop like pc i want to build next.
