So I got this to replace a broken handle from my old crock pot lid. Not sure why as for the price of 3 of these pens I could get a new slow cooker but I digress. The pen is MUCH better made than the original in every way in terms of material thickness, shape, etc. It's a pain in the ass though. Obviously this wasn't specifically designed for the slow cooker. The problem arises when washing the lid. Soapy water gets under the handle and won't come out unless you remove the handle from the lid. I disassembled it, cleaned it by hand and reassembled it after drying. It's good that it's not an everyday device! I'm not sure what they could do to fix this and it seems better than the original. I just don't like the look of things stuck between the lid and the handle right over my food, that's all.
