I have never used a screen protector before but decided to try it with my new iPhone XR. The instructions were good and the installation tools were very helpful. Month in protective film works as expected and holds up very well to normal wear and tear. It should be noted that due to the curved nature of the XR's screen, the screen protector fits down the center of the screen rather than up to the edges. It's not very noticeable on a phone case and certainly nothing specific to this protection - it would be the case with any screen protector on this phone model.
