I needed to replace my old surround sound processor; Read all the reviews and decided it was worth it. Plugged it into my 6 channel amp, fired up a test Blu-ray and the first thing I noticed was that the sound wasn't right. Checked all my connections again. The output was not as labeled; That is, the sound that should have gone to the front left speaker came out of the surround left (SL) output, and the sound that should have come out of the front right speaker came out of the front left (FL) output . I figured it was because the outputs were mislabeled, so I tested each channel individually to see which was actually which and tried again. Still didn't work properly as the output wasn't consistent. I suspect the problem is with the decoder chip. The remote control was adequate, with a good volume control range. The setup mode was confusing, however, as the OK button simply navigated through the options without actually letting you select anything. And there were no instructions or menu navigation, just a brochure with a very basic description of the functions. There was no further information on their website and their customer support email just repeated my question and didn't add any further information or help. In short, it doesn't do what it's supposed to and the customer support is non-existent. i give it back UPDATE: Based on all the great reviews, I decided to give this product another try; Maybe I was just unlucky and got a bad block. Oh no. The second block has the same problems as the first. So I give that back and move on.
