Review on COMFYHOME Conditioner Evaporative Humidifier Oscillation by Drew Cage

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It works and keeps what it promises: Keeps you cool!

I've spent a lot of time researching this little portable cooler and found little useful information. So here is my review in the hope that it will help others. Maneuverability: It has wheels that make it easy to move around. But there is no lock to put the wheels in place. Warmth: I don't understand why you put a "warm" rating on a cooler! It should be judged on its ability to cool the room. Mine cooled my bedroom with no problem. The ice packs I added to the back kept my room cool all night. The rocking function really helps cool the room. Others were concerned that the size of the cut out space was too small for air movement. It's not small and works great for moving air. Weight: The box is easy to move by yourself. Installation: very easy. I decided NOT to attach my wheels as I didn't want to bang them off the table with wheels not locking or my grandkids would take a chance on doing the same. Note: Others have unscrewed the back and removed the filter and frozen it after getting wet and reinstalling it. I didn't have to do this. I used the ice packs that came with it and replaced them with the typical medium sized blue ice pack you would use for a cooler and they fit. Also, you cannot remove the back door to clean the pan. But you can put your hand and a sponge in there to clean when needed. It works out? Yes, that's right! However, remember this is not an air conditioner with chemicals inside to cool your room. It uses ice or cold water and then circulates and blows it out. Humidity will also be a factor in how well this works for you. I live in Wisconsin which showed that this shouldn't have worked in my area, and yet it did! Warm bedroom on 2nd floor, no way to vent the AC with windows sliding the wrong way and my house doesn't have any removable screens. So I'm really stuck trying to find something to cool off. There is an automatic shut-off for the water circulation. When you run out of water, it blows like a fan. It cooled my room by a noticeable 15 degrees, but it took ice packs and my bedroom door to close. Even if the bedroom door is open, I stay cool with the rocking function. From time to time you can hear the sound of the water. If you want to pee after this sound, you can choose another cooling option! For me it is not critical, but someone may be confused. He works quietly and does what he says. Ice packs will help cool you down. But that plus a half gallon of water poured over it kept me cool! This is my second purchase of this type of cooler. Would I buy again or recommend. Buy it now before the real heat hits this summer. This lowers your energy bills and helps you stay cool.
