I was thrilled to see that my scan n cut tool could etch/engrave metal. I watched some videos on Youtube and decided to give it a try. The Zoom engraver was incredibly easy to use and the engraving I created was excellent. I engraved the metal tags for my husband to attach to the hunting tree stands. He was very satisfied with the end product. The engraver comes with a small set of blanks, some of which I will engrave with identification information for the keys I have. I'm also thinking of some jewelry projects for my grandchildren. Worth the price. I also had no trouble sticking blanks to the cutting mat. I've seen videos of someone cutting a hole in cardboard to the exact size and shape of the blank and using it as a fixture to hold the blank being cut. I think this is a great idea if you have multiple blanks of the same size and shape, or if you want to cut multiple blanks at once.
