Bought despite no reviews yet. I'm glad I did. The ball head works great no matter what lens I use, including a heavy old Pentax 100mm 2.8 macro lens that made my other tripod head flex. The center tube is reversed to facilitate close-up, low-angle photography. The process isn't very well documented, but it's very simple. Simply unscrew the base of the spring-loaded hook completely, then pull out the tube. Insert the tube from below and replace the hook assembly. It's easier than reading this manual ;) The foot mechanism is simple and reliable. The two spirit levels are very practical. For less than the famous ball head you get a complete tripod and a good detachable ball head. Act!
