At first I had two 10 pound weights on my snake's enclosure because it liked to get outside. Instead I put 5 of these clips in her terrarium and she hasn't run away since. They're small and easy to remove, but designed so your pet won't move when they press the lid.

I ordered three packs because I thought I would need more than just two clips. I have a 55 gallon aquarium with a snake that loves to run away. The locks are really good, strong, easy to lock with one hand but you have to use two hands to remove them. I'm really happy with the purchase, I recommend it to everyone. Essential to protect against determined snakes and curious babies. I just received these clamps and installed them on my 40 gallon pop up screen ball python breeding tank. They're easy to install, just tweak them a bit to fit your specific cap and tank and you're good to go. Once they're on, the lid is definitely not going anywhere. Will definitely buy them again if I find the need.
