Review on πŸ• Mont Alpi MAPZ-SS Large Table Top Gas Pizza Oven: High-quality Stainless Steel for Perfect Pizzas by Dominique Patel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

4 months in use / 2-3 times a week - still working great

MAPZ Mont Alpi bought in May 2016 and used 2-3 times a week for 4 months. The quality of this pizza oven is excellent - all stainless steel construction stands up to outdoor use (our oven stays outside the patio). Actual maximum temperatures are typically in the range of 450-525 degrees Fahrenheit (maximum 550 degrees Fahrenheit) - temperature changes are primarily due to high winds as our oven is high up on a collapsible stainless steel work cart. (Honey-Can-Do TBL-01566 Folding Urban Stainless Steel Worktable). The pizza stone was bulletproof and excellent at retaining heat; and unlike virtually all other pizza ovens, the Mont Alpi is easy to clean - the interior of the vault is easily accessible, and there is a pull-out tray at the bottom. The burner will continue to light with 2-3 clicks of the front knob and the stainless steel will remain clean - no discoloration or blueing (see photos). When researching this purchase, I compared it to Camp Chef Italia's Cuisinart CPO-600. Artisan and Pizza Craft and found the Mont Alpi oven to be significantly better in terms of easy cleaning, high temperature maintenance, or both. One piece of advice I can pass on is that I replaced the mounting screw holding the angled top of the chimney with a thumbscrew to make removing/installing this part easier. This allowed me to close the furnace without risking bending the top chimney. - highly recommended - for the incredibly beautiful stainless steel construction and reliable performance in daily weekly use.
