Review on High-Performance DuraGo BR31327 Front Vented Disc Brake Rotor for Enhanced Braking by Gaurav Ansong

Revainrating 2 out of 5

They seemed to work fine at first, but they don't have many .

I installed them on my 2005 v6 4runner 4x4. At first they seemed to work well, but they don't take the heat well. I live in Colorado and go for a walk in the mountains every day. Coming down from Bierstadt I had an idiot in a Lexus RX going all the way down at 18mph - I couldn't downshift and tried to brake/release to let the rotors cool - but they overheated after brake for about 10 minutes. I don't think the guy in front of me has ever driven into the mountains because it looks like he overheated from going through the switchback towards the end. When I got down, they were completely overheated and deformed. Now when I go down to 70 and I wear them for more than 30 seconds, they start pulsing. Downshifting as much as possible allows me to keep them cool. TL; DR - Don't put them on your 4runner if you live in the mountains.
