Not for changing channels on TCL Roku TV

This review is primarily for people like me who wanted to use this with a TCL Roku TV. One problem with Roku TVs is that there are no number buttons on the remotes. It's a pain when using an antenna to watch live TV. Like many people, I receive over 50 DTV channels with one antenna. With a regular Roku remote, you have to use the menu to scroll through all of them, which quickly becomes annoying if you even want to switch channels. That distance seemed like the perfect solution: a Roku remote with a numeric keypad. I went and programmed the remote with the code 6171 as directed. All buttons, like on the factory remote control, worked perfectly. what about the number pad? Here's the thing, the numeric keypad works EXCELLENT. If you're on the "Live TV" input on your Roku TV, the TV will register the digits you've pressed on the remote. So far, so good. However, to select DTV channels, you need to know how to use the dot so that you can switch to a channel like 14.1. Well, the dot button on the remote doesn't work! Therefore, you cannot enter the DTV channel manually. Annoyingly, if you just type "14", it won't go to "14.1". He will just sit and do nothing. This is where this remote control still comes in handy. On Roku TV, "live TV" includes both over-the-air (antenna) channels and specially numbered Roku streaming channels. There are many such streaming channels. For me they start at channel 115 and go up to 1190. There may be a few hundred channels in this range, each with a number. Since these numbers do not contain a period, you can use the remote control to go directly to them. So it's nice. I would like to do the same for the antenna channels.
