Description was inaccurate, over 9 inches tall.

Very disappointed. This was to replace another ceiling fan that was also the wrong height from the ceiling. So this is also returned for the same reason. I'm projecting just under 8.5 inches from the ceiling and a 7.1 inch fan would be ideal. Unfortunately this fan is unsuitable for my needs and I am sending it back which is also a shame because it looks like a decent fan/light. Never installed.
