to help other customers. Unfortunately, this product is not suitable for a 125 gallon tank. I bought one thinking it wouldn't work so I bought another and everything was the same. I put both heaters in the water and didn't heat the water along with them. It didn't raise the temp in my tank at all and barely held 77° after pouring boiling water into the tank to manually raise the temp. The temperature only went up because I poured hot water into it with both 1000w heaters. This should statistically heat 400 gallons of water.
