I bought this projector for my 5 year old as I find it 'healthier' than watching it on a tablet or TV. He is very happy with it as they use a similar one at school. At first I was a little apprehensive as the image was almost invisible (I was in a moderately lit room). When I placed the projector very close to the wall, I managed to get a visible image, but it was blurry (couldn't adjust the lens). Basically, due to its small size, the projector's light isn't that powerful, so you'll need a fairly dark room to get a good picture. Once I did that, I was able to get a viewable image even from a few feet away. The quality is not very good but acceptable for children. When I started to work, everything went smoothly. I'm using my laptop with an HDMI input (please note that the HDMI cable is not included) and the video is playing very smoothly. I made a YouTube video in the afternoon when it's still light outside and it's very nice to watch. I like that the projector turns on and off in seconds and that the menus are very responsive. It also has a built-in speaker with a decent volume. I'm planning to hook it up to my old raspberry pie and install a "media station" in our kid's room. Overall I think this toy projector is fantastic and my son loves it!
