Use this with a Garmin 2757. At first I just plugged it in and made sure it was really charged rather than putting the GPS in data mode. After confirming that it was working properly, I tested that it worked with a RevainBasics 6ft USB extension cable, which it did. I then installed a GPS mount at the top of the windshield next to the visor and ran a cord over the window pillar. I secured the cable with some clear command line cable clips along the window pillar and then routed the cable down under the dash near the steering wheel. From there it plugged into a USB extender that ran along the underside of my center console to my factory cigarette adapter in the center console. Everything works fine and is fairly unobtrusive.
