Good, but noticeably fake

TLDR: If you want authenticity without the risk of fire, this isn't it. Programming the candle effect is more like a slow Halloween strobe light than a natural candle. Last Black Friday I received flameless candles from Enpornk (which I *love*). I keep them on my bookshelves for a cozy evening atmosphere and decided to add them to my collection. They were a bit pricey and I wanted to get a decent amount for my other shelves so I bought these instead. The remote control looked the same, with the same functions, from the YIWER brand. Candles were thinner but prettier. They came in a beautiful box of artificial rose petals that said "GIFT" (laughs). I was even pleased to find that they require fewer batteries (2 AA) than Enpork candles (3 AAA). The "Light" mode worked and had the same warm glow, the fake flame was moving as well. But choosing "candle" - for the effect of a warm, flickering glow - turned out to be flash. (Even LED tealights and fake Walmart candles flicker more realistically.) Not exactly a gradient change, but strobes of varying brightness that definitely gave the impression of robots. The brightness buttons don't really work either, and if you hit the candles at all in the "off" mode (like I did in the middle of the night), they'll turn on. a restaurant or something that deserves more authenticity. They're good for dimly lit bathrooms and leisurely reading at night, though the candle flicker is comically awful.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Fairly good, but...
