Review on HP 2711X 27 Inch LED Monitor: Height & Tilt Adjustment, Plus 3D Capability by Michael Schmidt

Without wasting words on the review of this monitor, let me just say that the unit I received was the best low cost monitor I have owned since 1985. Movie, Photo, Game, Text and Custom. They all seem to work for what they were designed for. The best controls I've ever seen on a monitor. I'm a gamer and took a chance on this monitor because it runs at 60Hz rather than the preferred 120Hz which is all the rage in multiplayer these days. .So far it's been great for gaming at half the price of some other monitors. Vision is not the best in the world. I sit directly in front of the monitor so that the screen is perfect, although off-axis it loses some brightness, but of course that's not a problem for me. For gaming and movies, this is the sharpest screen I've seen and colors are very good. In the game World of Tanks in a river and stream at certain angles of reflection you can see the texture and color of the sky and mountains on the water surface. Talk about the vertical world, WOW! There is nothing better than this. I also have Samsung 23" and 25" monitors and I think HP is much better in every way.
