These speaker stands are perfect. My first selection criterion was the height - I needed them to raise my bookshelf speakers to a good listening height and they were perfect, to within an inch. I also paid attention to appearance. They're clean and simple. Assembly was easy. I've read instructions and comments online about bolts not being tightened with a power tool. I didn't need wax or silicone spray on the screws. Just gently screw them in with a Phillips screwdriver. The only thing I notice is that there were no legs for use on hardwood floors. Carpet spikes were included, didn't want to use them on wood. Stick-on rubber feet or pads would probably be nice, and that's what I used - stick-on felt pads. I don't know if I broke any audiophile rules by doing this, but I put felt pads all over the hickory floor. I am very happy with these coasters.
