This seems much better than the original quote I got from kitchenaid. The original was made of plastic and had a crack in the case at the end. It still worked, but food spilled out of the gap. I didn't want to pay the high price they charge for another one made of the same material to risk the other one eventually tearing again. I've seen this at a much lower price and in a stronger metal. It fits great and seems to work well! Great value for money and I believe this one will wear well without worrying about tearing. I highly recommend it.
