Bought a pair of pants at the grand opening of a local sporting goods store last summer. I'm glad I tried them on, got a size bigger than I normally wear. When hiking and climbing in the Rocky Mountains, I don't want them to be tight around my waist. I ordered these shorts right away, one size bigger, perfect! The bags are awesome and the material is heavy, not the coolest I've worn but will hold up like iron for years to come. Well worth the $$$. Update - took off my trousers and shorts and measured my waist, it's a size 36, with elastic at the waist at rest they measure 34 and stretch slightly to a 38. Lots of fitment comments in these reviews if you like them "fit". Taylor, order your normal size. If you want them to be loose fitting, order the next size up, especially for pants if you wear long pants and like to layer them in winter.
