I have replaced SLA batteries with LiFePo4 batteries in a pair of large scooter battery boxes. LiFePo4 batteries are smaller so I can usually fit a second bank in the box. LiFePo4 batteries have their own built in switches so I can remove the battery compartment switch and replace it with this switch to select which bank to use. As a bonus, these switches are in the middle position. So if I'm going to the bathroom or somewhere else and need to leave the scooter unsecured, I can switch it to the middle position so casual thieves just don't ride away on it. The switches have a rubber switch cover, which is good because it gets a lot of rain and dirt when riding a scooter in bad weather. They also require little pressure to shift, so an accidental kick doesn't usually cause them to shift incorrectly. And moving to a reserve bank has saved me money more than once.
