Review on Bosch 85266MC Laminate Flush Router by Mario Beckwith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Same Bosch quality, money saving tool/product

Made in Switzerland. Carbide teeth. Good roller bearing. Cuts laminate flooring flush with plywood without chipping when gently moved. It takes a lot of laminate to get boring, mine hasn't started yet. Has paid off about 100 times more than the first counter I made with it. Creating your own counters can be scary. First cut out the shapes you want. Then apply contact adhesive under the laminate. Then apply it to the plywood. Allow both surfaces to dry. Contact cement does not stick to hands, it sticks to itself. like cement. You have one chance to get it just right. You need at least one person to position it properly. But if you prefer rolls of laminate and plywood to the finished product, you can easily save $800 on a mid-size kitchen. You can screw up four times and still come out on top. If only the corner is touching you can still peel it off, but when it's all the way down you'll notice that it's peeled off. it's fixable but it will be a pain.

Pros
  • Router parts and accessories
Cons
  • Expensive
