When I first tried it I thought great, I screw it into the 1/2" pipe thread on my cold water valve and you're done . Well not like that. Brass threads on the plastic body let water through. You need to use the 3/4" adapters that came with the rubber washers to prevent leakage. For me that means buying more fittings to do that Increase the valve from 1/2" to 3/4" to fit the filter and then back to 1/2". This is a real PITA and I would buy something else if I knew. I'm sure I'll be happy once I get this all sorted out, but in the meantime my kitchen sink is out of order until I can get the adapters I need.
