I bought this jug a year ago because it is made of glass which can withstand extreme temperature changes without breaking. I'm lazy so I like to pour boiling water straight into the pot when making iced tea. This pitcher has performed phenomenally over the past year so I bought a second one. What I like: 1) Can hold boiling water without cracking 2) The parts are metal and glass so the jar and lid last a very long time (no). rubber or plastic that can decompose) 3) Built in filter in the lid 4) Dishwasher safe but also easy to hand clean due to the large spout What could be improved: 1) Pour quality is average. Due to minor changes in production, the spouts of different jugs are slightly different, so my second jug pours much better than the first. With my first pot, a small drop of liquid always remains after pouring because the liquid sticks to the spout 2) The handle is not bad, but could be more ergonomic. I've decided to get a second one and they both work very well.
