I bought this jug a year ago because it is made of glass which can withstand extreme temperature changes without breaking. I'm lazy so I like to pour boiling water straight into the pot when making iced tea. This pitcher has performed phenomenally over the past year so I bought a second one. Just received today. As soon as I opened it up, I felt like it was too light and fragile, like a regular snap shot. The bottle had numerous scratches and defects. A glass jug that can be filled with boiling water! For several years I was looking for a replacement for a similar jug that I accidentally dropped on the floor and broke.
