Very cool offer. The head came with a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter and good instructions. The fit and finish is top notch and the pan base is very smooth and firm. The cocking and locking knobs do what they are supposed to. It took me a minute to mount the head on a very old (but sturdy) Promaster 6400 tripod with a 1/4" screw. It is very easy to change the orientation from landscape to portrait. The camera seems to be very reliable (Canon D5+70-200, white). zoom + battery grip) and I have no regrets about buying the BHD2. Sure, sometimes bigger is better (mostly okay), but the head doesn't look out of place on a tripod, and to be honest, a 1/4" tripod screw is likely to fail before the head.
