Very durable, ergonomic and great size

At the last minute I spent extra money and bought this 2S model instead of 1S and I wasn't disappointed. It fits perfectly on the CLT203 tripod. I LOVE the integration of the friction limiter into the lock handle. This head is much more streamlined than most other heads I've seen. It's very nice not to have a bunch of pens and other things sticking out of your head like you see most of the time. I use this on a Canon 6D with my largest Canon 135mm lens and it's reliable. Now I'm definitely an…

Very satisfied. fits tripod heads

Very cool offer. The head came with a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter and good instructions. The fit and finish is top notch and the pan base is very smooth and firm. The cocking and locking knobs do what they are supposed to. It took me a minute to mount the head on a very old (but sturdy) Promaster 6400 tripod with a 1/4" screw. It is very easy to change the orientation from landscape to portrait. The camera seems to be very reliable (Canon D5+70-200, white). zoom + battery grip) and I have no regrets…

Pure quality! - Camera and photo

I found out about "Induro" because Amazon had a Goldbox discount on one of their tripods and after a little research I bought it. Of course when you have a quality tripod you don't want to put a poor quality ball head on it so I spent the extra money and bought the ball head. They take great pride in their quality, check out their website and you will see what I mean. I recommend this ball head and everything I've seen from Induro. I almost forgot one of the main things I love about this…

Good price!

Bought this head to replace my Manfrotto 322RC2 bit which I didn't like at all. I'm happy to report that this Induro head has met all my expectations. Separate pan, drag, and lock controls are excellent. Drag controls let you adjust it to the point you want for smooth movement, then simply rotate and lock it with the big knob. With my Canon 40D, the grip, two batteries and a 300mm f/4 lens mounted together, I found no play or slippage. The movement is smooth and silky. Compared to the Markins…

Great for a while, but then. Friction grip broken off

I am a traveling photographer and I travel a lot with my camera. I was looking for something to hold my 5D3 w 70-200 with an Arca mount and this was my first tripod head to fit the mount. I was very happy when I first received this device as it worked very well when traveling and held the weight very well. Fast forward 4 months and the ball head is starting to accumulate dirt and grit inside the unit and the friction grip is starting to lose strength. Fast forward to today where the friction…

Malfunctioning ball head did its job [UPDATE]

I've had this ball head for two years now and it's fine. There was always some play when tightening the screws, making it difficult to set the shot. I have to set it a bit higher as the whole camera slides down, and that's well below the 39 pound load limit on a Canon 7D and a 17-55mm f/2.8 lens. The handles of the clamping screws have also shifted, so screw them in at a slight angle, causing them to rub against the threaded shank. It doesn't affect performance, it's just a quality issue…
