Review on 💡 CyberPower CSB808 Essential Surge Protector: 8 Outlet Power Strip, 1800J/125V, 8ft Cord by Rob Clark

CyberPower seems to have a knack for offering products that are different enough to catch my eye. There are a large number of power strips that look exactly like these, but CyberPower has tweaked them a bit to include 900J surge protection. Maybe not reliable enough for the most expensive devices, but about average for surge protection at this price point - And it is also the correct extension. The outlets look like standard duplex jacks, meaning they're a bit wider than most surge protectors, leaving more room for power adapters (damn modern man). I'd say outlets also have a preferred orientation, or at least it seems to me that most power supplies move in what you might call a horizontal orientation, allowing two to be plugged in back-to-back. each other in a standard duplex jack. Again, this is the type of outlets that this power strip has. It's great for surface mounting. The power cord is quite nice. More flexible than most. There is no light in the light switch and I think that may or may not be considered an advantage but personally I like it. Those neon-lit power switches die instantly anyway. I like the solid build quality, I like the color, I like the alignment of the jacks and the spacing between them. I know it's from China, but it still has an old-school American vibe to it.
