Basic Power Strip

This is a basic all metal surge protector with circuit breaker. Not for industrial use but good enough for general use. voltage. The packaging and UL listing says 400V, I'm not sure what it actually is. There is no on/off indicator, which can be important in some cases. There are mounting holes on the back. sensitive device, but quite suitable for my purposes.

BEWARE! Splitters and Surge Protectors

WARNING! Cyberpower is playing a game of Bait & Switch here. I bought it from Revain.com on 7/13/18. The Cyberpower website (AND the datasheet that came with the device) says the UL terminal voltage is 400V. But upon receipt I found that the DEVICE ITSELF (as well as the Cyberpower box) says that the UL terminal voltage is 500V. This is completely insufficient to protect electronic devices, making the device unsuitable as a surge protector.

Reasonably priced surge protector

We lost several surge protectors during a summer thunderstorm. They should. You take the hit and save your valuables. I wanted to replace them with a quality surge protector but didn't want to break the bank. It worked. I wish they had an ivory option.

Pros
  • Well done
Cons
  • Expensive

Big! Be sure to get a guarantee!

So far so good. I just installed it last night and it's really nice to have a more organized layout of my cables and devices. You have to wiggle the connectors at a certain angle to fully insert them, but we'll see how that works when we restart the Xbox (I think one of the reasons my power supply died was because it did too was Many devices require too much power and the original socket can't handle it.)

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Difficult to say

Everything is fine except for the position of the power switch

The thing is excellent. Looks strong, not flimsy plastic. The plug even has a slight bend so you don't cover another outlet. It's really worth it, please buy. My only concern is the location of the power button. I was about to move it the other day, grabbed two corners and felt a *click*. My gaming computer went dead and I almost cried. Luckily everything was fine. Just saying this could be in a better place.

Pros
  • 8 sockets with surge protection Retractable protective covers
Cons
  • There are defects

Basic Functional Extension Cord

This is a basic all metal extension cord with surge protector and circuit breaker. Not for industrial use, but good enough for average use. The clamping voltage is 500V. The packaging and UL listing says 400V, I'm not sure what that actually is. There is no on/off indicator, which can be important in some cases. There are mounting holes on the back. sensitive device, but quite suitable for my purposes.

Pros
  • 8 Foot Cord Rectangular 45 Degree Offset Plug
Cons
  • Expensive

The red switches are off. Low quality.

Pros: Fairly solid metal body and gray color looks professional for live audio/video events. Sockets are difficult to plug in, which I like. Usable cable length. Cons: The red reset button does not light up. While not a major problem, it does cause some confusion when a person is accustomed to using the red switch to visually indicate that the power is on. Update 6 months later: 1 of the 6 bought broken, something rattles inside. Low quality, stay away from them.

Pros
  • 1800 Joule Surge Protection LED Status Indicators

The Perfect Surge Protector for Everyday Use

CyberPower seems to have a knack for offering products that are different enough to catch my eye. There are a large number of power strips that look exactly like these, but CyberPower has tweaked them a bit to include 900J surge protection. Maybe not reliable enough for the most expensive devices, but about average for surge protection at this price point - And it is also the correct extension. The outlets look like standard duplex jacks, meaning they're a bit wider than most surge protectors…

Pros
  • EMI/RFI Noise Filter
Cons
  • Volume
