Review on Aquaboon Replacement Cartridge Filtration Compatible by Kevin Singleton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great price and most importantly, they work!

Second, 4-pack. Bought these 10 micron filters to use with the Culligan HF-150A housing to protect the water system in our caravan. We use bottled water for cooking and drinking, so I only rely on a filter to keep silt out of the water system, especially the water heater. The photo was taken 2 weeks later (1 week in a row) at two RV stops. I know someone uses city water and then the discoloration is coming from a park that I suspect uses well water or has galvanized pipes as we have been there before and got the same results with a new filter that only uses there became. The material looks like rust or sediment, so I'm glad the filter doesn't let that stuff through. They cost around $3.50 each, which is a pretty good deal compared to filters that come with a disposable housing. The Culligan case was about $17 + $10 for hardware and covers. (Made my own stand.) I close the case while camping and reconnect within 2-12 hours depending on the distance. Then flush the hose and filter for a few seconds before connecting to the trailer so you don't have to worry about bacterial growth. I worked a maximum of 17 days but I would like to work longer depending on how many times the line went down. They are household quality (for mud), but in household use they usually break the line every 3-6 months. Suitable for housing. The illustration shows the body pinching the ends together with a bead to seal for use. So far, so good.

Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
