So my car stalled and the check engine light came on intermittently. I took it to an auto repair shop but they don't know what's wrong with my car because the check engine light wasn't on when I brought it in for repair. They suggested I turn on and clean the throttle body. Since my car has 85,000 miles and has never been tuned, I agreed. My car looked fine for a few days. I hoped that was all and he just needed new spark plugs. The problem is back. It has a low idle, sometimes cuts out, the check engine light comes on from time to time. I chose this scanner. I hooked up this scanner the next time the engine light came on and it gave me code P03554. Ignition coil misfire in cylinder #4. Wow! I ordered the parts and installed them myself. The problem is solved. Too bad I didn't have this scanner yet. This could save me a lot of money. This scanner pays for itself the first time you use it.
