I am pleased with the fit and finish of the Moog part but time will tell. I mainly make OEM parts and am very picky about parts in general. Anyway, thought I'd give some advice to those who are installing this pitman arm on GM vehicles. I remove the skid plate and anti-roll bar (good time to check/replace bushings while you're there). So you have enough space to work. The problem with replacing the bipod is that GM trucks and SUVs have a crossbar that prevents the use of a standard bipod puller. Even if you can stick the puller in many times, they get stuck so hard that the puller breaks. Some websites advise people to remove the entire steering gear to install a puller on it, which is a huge waste of time. Or use heat, a flashlight, etc. and your steering gear seals will be destroyed. I don't do any of this. I use a cut-off wheel on an air grinder and CAREFULLY make a cut on the side of the crank opposite the real arm at a 45 degree angle almost through the crank. You can also use a 4" electric blade grinder if you don't have one: http://www.amazon.com/Kawasaki-840788-3-Inch-Air-tool/dp/B003G3009Y/ref=sr_1_1 ?s=hi&ie =UTF8&qid=1413520263&sr=1-1&keywords=pneumatic+cutoff+tool I cut at a 45 degree angle so the wheel has more play and is less likely to hit the steering gear. Do this very slowly, trying to make a cut about 1/8 inch from the inner splines on the steering box without touching them. Take your time, really take your time, you don't want to buy a new steering box. Did I say take your time? :) When the cut is made, take a big chisel and stick it in the cut. Then hit him hard with the mini slide. This will split the rest of the bipod arm steel along the cut line. Then simply hold the chisel downwards at an angle and knock out the connecting rod. Even if you are not in a hurry, it is easy to do in 15 minutes. There are many stories of people who spent hours trying to get the job done. Then apply a light coat of water-repellent grease to the steering gear splines to reassemble and you're done. Hope that helps.
