Mostly as described but not particularly useful. First, it was small enough that the adhesive strips didn't touch either the top or bottom, so I had to use thicker 3M adhesive strips. Simple enough, but it shouldn't have been necessary. Next is a very small storage space. What are you going to put in it. If you then place it in a space less than an inch deep, it will be difficult to pull it out again because the sliding lid blocks the bottom half of the container. Only works for items long enough to extend more than 1/2 up. Solid objects rattle in the container. Some say it's a "secret" compartment, but I really don't think it's that hard to see when you open the console. It seemed like a good idea, but I didn't see any practical use for it.
