I ordered these a while ago and was too lazy to hang them up. Luckily I ordered two because the first package I opened didn't come with hanging instructions. My windows are 36 inches - the blinds are perfect - until you try to use mounting hardware. The hardware sticks out about 3/4 foot on either side, which now means it won't fit in the window, so I'm taking it to Home Storage to figure out how to get creative and hang it without the extra inches on the side The fittings provided can be attached to the side or top, but in any case they go to the END of the umbrella, making it impossible to hang it up easily. above and do not add extra space. It would be nice to know when you order.
