I was trying to set this up to distribute a cable signal to multiple TVs in my house. Cable box (Cisco box from Spectrum) hangs during initialization. I called Spectrum support and had a tech come in when I decided to remove the splitter from the connection and just plug the box directly into the cable. Voila! It worked. I have somewhat long drives to and from the splitter, not sure if that matters or if the unit was faulty or just attenuated the signal too much for the box regardless of the length of the drive, but the end result was, that he wasn't working.
