This kettle matches my formal china almost perfectly and makes great coffee. Cleanup isn't as frustrating as I feared, and as long as you use good quality beans you'll be happy with the results. If you've never brewed coffee in a French Press, use 2 tons of coffee per 8-ounce cup (adjust to your liking). First pour coffee, then water (do not boil for a few seconds), mix and let steep for 2 minutes. Close the lid and plunger, press down (do not submerge or you will splash) and pour. If you leave the residue, it will turn bitter, so use immediately. The resulting coffee is richer and more full-bodied than usual and really rounds off a delicious meal. Emceemk says to check it.
