I'm afraid to drink from this kettle. It has a strange smell even after I clean it. I'm afraid of getting sick from it. I test it for lead and other materials at my sister's work place. I'll come back and let everyone know if it's poisonous to drink from. It's nice, but I wanted a drink. The seller claims it is possible. I plan to contact Amazon if this item contains lead and is toxic to ensure the seller is listing it correctly. Update: I have returned this product. I haven't bothered to check it.
