Nice teapot, not heavy or dense so don't hit because the metal is thinner than more expensive similar items but the whistle is clearly audible and I like the mostly metal design so You don't have to worry about the flippers melting. Some kettles come with plastic fins, and many reviews of these types of plastic fin kettles complain about melting parts. However, the handle is made of plastic. As long as you don't heat and shake too much, it will last forever. Drain the kettle after use to prevent standing water from corroding. A little common sense and good care and maintenance will do!
